IT hints and tips

AyeRight marvels over some cake software

There’s nothing worse than appearing 35 minutes after you said you would just be 10, or burning the fairy cakes you were making for tonight’s film.
In days of old you might have gone to somewhere
called the High Street and gone into a store by the name of Woolworths and bought something called a kitchen timer.
These were mechanical devices which the user charged by physically winding a spring and setting the timer to the required number of minutes. The timer would ring a bell when the minutes had expired. The bell would remind you of a task you had to do, normally associated with cooking and something called an oven (Will explain oven in a later article, maybe cooking as well)
For Linux or Windows users you can now download a free software version
of this old time hardware
