The Gurn reported that it was the Co-ops intention to replace the Somerfield brand with their own, what we hadn’t figured on was that working the other way around!In Nairn Co-op today it was clear to see that the Co-op has adopted Summerfield’s value range with its distinctive plain yellow packaging but labelled ‘The Co-operative, Simply Value’.
It seems we might see a merge of the two company’s brands and marketing, maybe time to write and tell the Co-op if you have a favourite Somerfield product and see if they will retain it!
