Car boot sale clash no more – Saints and NAS to run joint event

Unbeknown to each other Nairn St Ninian JFC and Nairn Allotment Society had both arranged to run a series of car boot sales on the last Sunday of the month during the summer. The clash became apparent when the two ads appeared in the Nairnshire Telegraph last week. NAS had organised an event down at the Maggot and the Saints at their Showfield base. As it was both events were successful. The two groups met up however to discuss the clash and the result is that they will jointly run a series of car boots at the Showfield over the summer months.
They will take place on the last Sunday of the month and the first one will be on Sunday 27th of May. Visit this page for details of the events.

It seems by the annoying near constant bag packing at local supermarkets that there are many organisations trying to get their hands on our money (I've tried the bag packing once and for some reason I don't like my biscuits crushed by tins)

I have no objections to the car boot sales but wonder if an invite to all Nairn organisations couldn't be made to join in? It could bring quite a lot of people to Nairn for the event and I'm sure the two organisations involved at the moment wouldn't mind sharing the pitches

Anon As 1 of the organisers of the boot sale i have no problems in letting anyone else join in. We, last month had a stall from the Guide dogs for the blind and from the manor nursing home and we dont charge them for a pitch. Any ideas on who you want to invite because between the NAS and saints we will personally invite them to have a pitch. The showfield is huge remember!!

  3. Sounds good Steward Holly,

Anyone reading this article outside of Gurnshire why not make it a day out in Nairn on the 27th?
Come early for the boot sale, sell a few items and then spend the money in one of Nairn's fine restaurants, taking in a nice walk along the prom later before heading home. We've even got a Sainsbury's too in Nairn if that kind of thing hits the spot for you.

Strange... As someone who was at the NAS car boot sale, I only remember although busy, one row of cars.

Are false photos being posted by Des on this blog site??

Phew good job that fact was cleared up. It wouldn't do this blog site posting info giving a false impression on the actual facts...

Good on you Des for updating with more accurate info.
