Nairn lass has the honour of laying wreath at Royal Artillery memorial at Hyde Park Corner, London

Fiona Dunbar the daughter of James and Morven of Chattan Drive, Nairn has been chosen to paticipate in the cermony at the Royal Artillery memorial this Sunday in London. Fiona is serving with the King's Troop Royal Artillery  and is stationed at Wellington Barracks.  Fiona's family has a history of experience of military service. Her great grand father fought in the first World War with the Cameron Highlanders.   Her great uncle was in the Navy during the last war and her grandfather was in the T.A. for a number of years. Going even further back her great, great, great grandfather served with Wellington during the Napoleonic Wars in Spain. He lost an arm in the Battle of Pamplona. After his discharge he was a Chelsea Pensioner.
Fiona is enjoying her Army service very much,  she has a great love for horses and this was the motivation  for her choice of regiment.
