Water Incident - River Nairn, Harbour area

About 2256 hours Saturday 7 July 2014, Officers from Police Scotland responded to a report of a male having entered the River Nairn, Harbour area. On attending officers found two males were within the water with one attempting to assist the other. One male has managed to get out of the water however the other was lost from sight. Coastguard, Invergordon and Moray Lifeboat, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and ARCC - Rescue 137 attended and carried out a search of the area for the remaining male.
Searches for the remaining male are continuing. Details of those involved are being withheld until next of kin have been informed.
