Parking charges on Nairn Common Good Land - Unpopular Highland Council move to be discussed at Community Council online meeting Monday 31st May 2021, at 7pm

Nairn Social media has been busy this week with many decrying the Highland Council parking charge machines now installed at the Links, Maggot and Harbour. The charges are voluntary for now but many have been predicting that will change in the near future. An online poll shows Nairn folk against the charges by a majority of about 10-1. The situation will be discussed by Nairn West and Suburban Community Council on Monday evening (31st May).

Full Agenda for meeting here.

Both Votes big yellow bus hits town - how will it turn out for the SNP on the list vote this time round?

Lead SNP list candidate Emma Roddick on the links this lunchtime

Emma told the Gurn that she thought the list representation for the SNP was on a knife edge but that if all the SNP support turns out on Thursday then there could be two MSPs elected for the party on the list.

Out there on the Internet there are as many theories as to what to do with your list vote as there are days of the week but the message on the side of the big yellow bus is a resolute one and the SNP are sticking to it.
