Meanwhile over on the Gurn twitter account

If there's not much being posted here it's worth having a look at the Gurn twitter account. Quite a lot happens in the Nairn twittersphere these days and you can scroll down the wee twitter boxie on the right hand side as far as you like to see what the latest craic is. You don't have to have an account to look at tweets either.

Sadly the Gurn seems to be slowing to a crawl with the local reportage

Yes anon, lots of other things to do and some of our top staff were sent on a mission to find out more about rumours of Gaelic/English bilingual road signs being seen in Canada. The result of our investigations will be available soon.

Anon @ 12:16
The real question should be "Why is Elgin......."

Real pedant needed here but sometimes I think you can get away with that sort of thing Anon with Elgin being a collective plural for the team and all concerned?

A collective plural. Now there's a grammatical construction that Nairn Academy failed to include in its English language studies in the 1960s. :-)

I`m in a dilemma ... I want independence but I also want out of the EU (always hated the EU, full of freeloading fat cats ... hmm, just like Westminster really!!)

Have a look around both Nairn and further afield. The EU has brought monies to Scotland that we've never ever seem under Westminster rule. Post Brexit we'll be poorer financially as a nation

Forget getting rid of the traffic lights, there are somethings much more important than traffic, it's called people.!
How do these wise guys that come up with the suggestion of getting rid of traffic light suggest children and people going about their daily lives, cross the A96.
