D-Day 75th Anniversary - Memorial service on Nairn LInks

A good turnout today for the service organised by the Nairn Branch of the Royal British Legion despite the weather, as those that trained in this area during World War 2 and then went on to participate in the D-Day landings were remembered.

Some of our fathers, when they came home injured or after 1945, lived with those physiological scares for life. That condition effected their future years along with us who were the sons and daughters of those who returned, who were effected by Post-Dramatic Stress, PDS. Of course that condition was not diagnosed back then. My father suffered, and we his family suffered because of those mental scars that he gained in Belgium in 1939
