Shock as act of random kindness hits Links Leisure Park - the snakes and ladders board has been repainted by persons unknown

Thanks to the regular reader who sent us the image below of folk enjoying the newly repainted snakes and ladders facilities down on the Links (not posed by actors these are real tourists we are told). Could this be the start of a whole epidemic of citizens quietly putting things right without any fanfare or publicity?

We are convinced this was done by Citizen X Stephen but if you have conclusive proof to the contrary that you wish to present then we will accept that.

Well if it's any help this should of been reported to the council before highlighting some thing was needing done they may GET the standard answer no money?
But things requiring attention should go through the right channels so they can tell you officially NO MONEY for that and you will get a number.

That's what I have been told but what is the point in telling {A SILLY OLD MAN}.
So will just Carrie on doing what I think is the best way to get things done.

If it was the council I'll be amazed...far more likely they would deem the ladders a health and safety risk not to mention the snakes!... surprised it wasn't torn up and a painting of a flower put in its place!

We were there after school on Tuesday 16th of August. I recall seeing a lone woman painting the snakes and ladders board.

Interesting that the one Councillor who has commented seems not to be well-informed.... and hasn't responded to the invitation to back up his statement.

Another illustration of how dysfunctional Highland Council is.

Time for regime-change?

The councillor your refer to is not part of the ruling regime but part of the official Highland Council opposition. Still would have been nice to have heard praise from him of the anonymous citizen who did the good deed.
