Davy Johnston started his career with Nairn County at 16 and was touted for stardom, but his career was blighted by homesickness and he returned from Hearts after a year - back to Nairn County, where he made his name as a striker.'

Donald Wilson up at Station Park this afternoon with a copy of his new book, Davy Johnston Pittodrie's Silent Assassin. The book will be available from Nairn bookshop on Monday. There will also be an official launch in Nairn on October 16th. More details later.

Update from Donald: A local launch of the book is being planned ( details to follow ) when it is hoped fans and former players who knew Davy will attend. As well as having spells at Hearts, Aberdeen, Nairn and Caley, Davy was also a very successfull manager of Nairn St Ninian for over two seasons.
