The unsung hero of the day was the crane operator who manoeuvred the cradle with delicate precision over the spire. Well done him.

Apart from a small hiccup the job went very smoothly with all the people involved carrying out their tasks.

Well done everyone who was involved on the site yesterday.

Extract from Brahan Seer ..... "When in the olde Merkat Toon of Nairn we shall have a fair-haired Councillor; and red-eyed Tory; an electric Provost of the Burgh; and a deaf doubting Tom; and a bow-crooked-legged Mac-Gille-challum, who shall be the great-grand-son of John Beg, or little John, of Ruiga: that Mac-Gille-challum will be the worst that ever came or ever will come; there will be a great gnashing and a rendering of the town steeple!"
