Michael Green told the Gurn:
"I am delighted that the new bus shelter has been installed at Achagour.  The old shelter had been previously situated on the A939 and East Nairnshire Community Council had expressed their desire for a new shelter to be located in a safer and more easily accessible location. Landscaping will be carried out later in the year plus the existing shelter will be uplifted,  refurbished and relocated to Drumduan. Replacement crash barrier are due to be installed south of Ferness in the coming months as part of the ongoing maintenance programme for East Nairnshire."

Is it not nice to see that A bus shelter erected out in the country where it is required for people to be protected from all sorts of weather.
With M Green posing for his picture THE SAME MAN who has said publicly that one is not required at the Hospital .On A town service route with Sheltered housing- Carehomes all in the same area. NOT REQUIRED I ASK YOU.??

The last public bus service to this area must have been at least 20 years ago . There is a school service once a day during school term only. Does seem a waste of public money and it certainly does not blend in ( painted purple !)

Does anyone think this bus shelter is attractive?! Why spoil our beautiful countryside with this monstrosity and why if it is necessary wasnt the old one moved at least it would blend in?
As far as i know there is no bus service to this area other than the school bus! So this monstrosity will be used for five minutes in the morning possibly only if raining 5 days a week and only in term time. What a waste of money. Was any one even asked if they wanted this?
