Wouldn't it be brilliant if, as well as the more traditional pipes and drums, there was a section at the games devoted to more modern music. Something to which all the pipers and drummers could go a little bit wild to as shown in the video? I'm sure it would go down well with the crowd.
Now can you imagine if all the bands joined in & played along tothe Queen song, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember a good few years ago a Russian Military Marching Band played at The Games who were led round the ring by their band leader who was only a wee chap but he waved to everyone in the crowd & the band who played some traditional music from their homeland went down a treat, but when they played a Scottish melody of tunes the reaction from the crowd was absolutely brilliant with the band getting an encore & having to play some more songs to keep everybody happy, they had a tight deadline that day as they were playing later in the evening at The Edinburgh Festival where they wend down a storm with the audience.
Time to lobby the games committee for a 20 minute jam session before the final parade?

To change the tack a wee bit - does anyone else miss the Cycling at The Games. I'd love to see it back.
