In recent weeks there has been a marked improvement in the time it takes to pass through the series of Nairn traffic lights. Tonight however, out there in Nairnshire cyberspace, there are reports of serious delays again. The picture below shows the situation with delays out past Achareidh.

At 16:15 the traffic was back out beyond Sandown Farm Lane.
I use the road each night at the same time and this is the worst it's been for months.
Hopefully it is just a glitch but, if anyone saw one of the traffic light elves tinkering with a control box anywhere in town today, would they contact Transport Scotland so they can make a 're-correction'.....
Black Friday mayhem
Agreed, sheer volume of traffic today in general in this crazy shopping day. Hope it's a one off!
Drovet to Forres in the aternoon, and got caught at the pedestrian crossing at Harbour Street. They let the pedestrians accross then stuck at red against the traffic for a good few minutes before letting me through. I think if this happened at a busy time the delay would be huge, as happened.
