Is there nothing but talk about pies going on here these days? I wouldn't mind, but from what I've read I get the impression that you've better pies up in Nairn than we have in Manchester. There's a shop in Ripley (North Yorkshire) that once did wonderful game pies, but they can't get the stock these days. :-( So, as my comment on the state of affairs, I feel there's nowt to say but... O tempora, o mores!
Being a non meat eater I'm afraid the Provost's Pies are far eclipsed by the pies you get in Lochinver and - you can order them by post! - and I suspect they're a wee bit bigger than the Provost's!
I’m not a meat eater either but if I were I’d eat the Provosts’ meat pies ‘cho luath ‘s a ghabhas’ but more importantly I think it is good thing to be obsequious to ‘movers and shakers’ in our community.
