Looks nice but a little bit of information required?

One of our regular readers was wondering if any information is ever going to appear in the big new fancy noticeboard that has appeared in Castle Lane Square. Our correspondent says that the noticeboard has been with us for some weeks now and still shows visitors nothing - Welcome to Nairn "a blank space"?

Like the tide times that never change another board to confuse visitors?

Is nothing going on? Doesn't the Council have any information? Hasn't anyone got a key?

Maybe the Gurn could do a print copy for folk who haven't got internet access, or someone could stick a copy of the Nairnshire in there os a Monday night to save having to wait for the library to open on Tuesday morning

where would I find out what happened to the money Sainsbury,s donated to tidy up the shop fronts in Nairn?as far as I can see,not one shop has benefited from the donation.is it being held in a trust fund till interest rates rise,or has it been used for other things?if I was a the person responsible for donating the monies,i would be asking serious questions about what has happened to it,and either use it for the purpose it was intended,or return it.

Some shop fronts did get sorted but the application form is just too difficult and stringent to fill in apparently. Highland Council were and are still in charge of the money, the rules for applying are in the process of being changed apparently. Need to know more then go and have a blether with Sheena Baker she will be up to speed with the latest.

A complete and utter waste of money, they have no events to advertise, certainly not council organised ones anyway, why instead of wasting money on this sort of thing and put it towards opening up the harbour bridge again !

I moved away from Nairn many moons ago, and I don't know how I would survive without my daily gander at the Gurn from Nairn and Nairn when you were a bairn. makes me feel I haven't moved away, Great sites !
