HHL think so.

Will this link areas by going under the new bypass?

And the Nairn Subway will be relatively cheap to excavate, linking the Harbour, High Street North, High Street South, Queens Park and the Hospital.
As long as it used regularly by Nairn's commuters, then Branch lines will be dug out to Achareidh and Tradespark; and to Lochloy Junction and Sainsbury's.

The one that makes sandwiches?

Hopefully otherwise a cut and cover operation from the harbour up to the proposed metropolis of South Nairn would certainly cause a bit of disruption :-)

I hope there's a station at the hospital. Potentially it'll help the south Nairn developments if enough people use it to come into town. Exciting times, even better than the trams in Edinburgh although I hope there's not too much disruption with the building work

I bet Inverness will want one next

Who's with me in protesting against this development, it'll just ruin the bus service

Scottish Independence and a subway in 2014. This is too much, I think I need to sit down

It's definitely about the sandwich shop, I heard rumors of a planning application a few months back.

This has been rumored to be going on for about six months now but it's nice to have some form of confirmation.

Take a look at the drawing available by download from here

Clearly this is going to be the entrance to the subterranean network. But where will the exit(s) be?

Couldn't possibly be a cunning plan tabled by disaffected Auldearn residents, as an alternative to the dualled bypass?

Or could it?

I reckon the subway will take us to the new Auldearn which is the old one that will reallocate to middle earth to avoid the bypass. I think there's a film out about it, oh and Auldearn will have a dragon and a magic ring and stuff

An early map of the subway has been published (see link below). Not all the proposed stations have been named as yet
