A lot going on tomorrow (Weds 23/09/15) as our Nairn councillors get a fistful of reports to digest and vote on

If you have a moment or two free perhaps you might want to catch a bit of the gig on the Highland Council webcast. A chance to see what your councillors are saying or not saying on your behalf. It starts at 10.30 and is called the "Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey Area Committee". Will our local members have any criticism of the content of the reports being put before them?

A lot up for "recommendation" with implications for Nairn - Will Liz, Stephen, Michael and Laurie go with it all or could they express alternative opinions?  Scroll down the Gurn for a bit of analysis of some of the items on the agenda tomorrow. Further details available on this Highland Council page here - just click on the agenda items to download reports.

I see from the agenda that some planning issues will be discussed. I take it our Cllr Liz MacDonald will once again have to absent herself due to a conflict of interest with her own possible housing developments?

I'm sure Liz will take advice on from officials on this anon has she has done in the recent past in regard to planning issues.

I Was looking forward to the common good debate. Only to have it paused as a "private discussion". What total nonsense. Only goes to fuel suspicion and criticism of our elected representatives. What can possibly be private about the " common good"?. Was this meeting held in Soviet Russia by any chance

@ moan ranger if I were to publish your thoughts on Councillor Fuller's level of contributions to be fair to him I would have to watch all the webcast to confirm what you say and unfortunately that is beyond the call of duty.
