High Street Gas main work put back a week - Starts Monday 14th now

Like a lot of things, more and more organisations put it out there on twitter first these days.

They also state on their website: "For everyone's safety during the phases of our work it will be necessary for some road closures to be put in place. There will be signed diversion routes.

All businesses in the vicinity of our work will remain open as usual. We do have a compensation scheme in place for local businesses which suffer a genuine loss of trade due to our work. Packs are available from our website, sgn.co.uk, via the Publications section."

Looks like this might have been a decision made this evening as they have also taken to informing Highland Council via twitter.

I sincerely hope access to high street will be available for disabled drivers to use.
some of us need to park outside shops as mobility is limited, this needs an answer.

The work at the brae has been at a standstill now for ages with no workers apparently there. What is going on? If this is how they will tackle the High Street it will be a complete shambles and exceed their timescale for completion.
