I hope the organisers realise that there are REAL DUCKS nesting on both sides of the river from the Merryton bridge to below the Swans Island. This area is a haven for our river waterbirds and this is the height of the nesting season, no one should be tramping around this area looking for Plastic ducks.! The river is for everyone to enjoy, it's a shame some people can't or won't embrace this notion. The duck race today is for a very good cause and I hope it gets much deserved support

Im sure no-one will try and upset the real ducks , but there are also real people in Nairn too, Im sure the ducks will be perfectly fine , and yes a fantastic idea , the more the better !
