Nairn in early November

Roses blooming, butterflies and bees going about their business. Any serious activity outside soon has you down to your t-shirt. The ground is very dry and one wonders why so many are convinced that we were going to get wetter winters and dryer, warmer summers in this area?

Excellent weather conditions to start building the huge ugly block of flats at the bus station.

Yes, I have to agree, weather is very mild and dry for the time of year. No doubt we will be up to our backsides in snow and ice by this time next week, so long may it last.

Records show that we,ve had this mixed weather for over a hundred years, nothing to do with "global warming". Maybe mother nature will give us a rare winter with no snow....

Samuel peeps diary tells that in the 16 hundreds there were roses blooming at Christmas.

Samuel Peep didn't live in Nairn.
He was also a journalist of his time, so we can't believe everything he wrote.
