Cup-tie colour to hit town

Looks like the High Street could get a bit of a spin-off today as well, the Gurn's usual unreliable sources indicate that a bus load of the Black and Whites will be heading for the Vic. Que sera, sera, what ever will be will be...

Nairnac can confirm that the Vic was indeed bouncing for a couple of hours leading up to the game as I met up with a workmate from Elgin in there. The free pies and sandwiches laid on were a nice touch, accompanied by some fine accordian tunes by the local duo. Apparently the girl who now runs the Vic also has a pub in Elgin, hence the connection. If only the experience could be repeated on a more regular basis.

Pity about the result at Station Park though. Two second half Elgin penalties and a County goal chalked off for offside left a 4-2 scoreline which flattered City.

Most of the City supporters I spoke to would be happy to see Elgin back in the Highland League as their 'local' derby is currently against Montrose!!!, and they all enjoyed the easy train trip to the pubs of Nairn. Hopefully Nairn was pleased to see them too.
