Liz with one of the Coast to Coast race organisers. After officially starting the first part of the race and seeing off around 400 competitors at 06.30 she popped home for breakfast. Another 900 competitors are due to go at 0800. One of the officials told the Gurn that the number of entries are 20% up on last year.

Heading for the seafront and a run along the prom, across the Bailey Bridge and then up to Cawdor to get on their bicycles. More images on the Gurn later.
