The new roundabout down at the Riverside

Our young at heart Riverside correspondent Murd is distinctly unimpressed with the replacement roundabout that appeared yesterday (Saturday 2nd) at the play park. He thinks the bairns won't have as much fun as they did on the old traditional style feature that could take half a dozen at a time, he is a bit perplexed about how the kids are meant to operate this object. More pictures of the egg-cup - flying saucer object here.

Is this the new outdoor soup kitchen?

Talk about taking away the fun! Even kids climbing into it looks like it could be a hazard.

I do agree with Anonymous's re the hazard to children but once they do get into the device should there not be a requirement for them to wear safety belts.

Health and Safety Act????

River walker

Saw a mother with two kids trying to get one in and the other to wait for his turn NO chance.
Apart from that it was not the best of mornings to try it as it metal and it was frosty so not much fun to be had this time of year in A cold bowl.
