Hello Yellow Brick Road?

The nickname 'Yellow brick road' seems to be gaining currency as we start to see more of how things will look as the project progresses. The first picture shows the new design while across the road the old look remains.

It'll soon fade (name and the bricks!)

here's hoping the colour will fade - did they get a job lot of slabs from the 80s?

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road came out in 1973 :-) A few years before the Streetscape of the last millenium

it cost a lot of pennys for our yellow brick road. lets hope it was worth it and are they going too paint the town red? brings a whole new meaning too keeping nairnshire colourful paint brush at ready. or perhaps get a hold of some spray paint. i am sure we could get some artists too do some work around the town

Growtosow has def got the right idea. Lets get the old spray cans out and give it a go. What is the worst that can happen? some ass head might complain, but so the hell what? I think this is the best idea I have heard for a very very long time. Respect Due

Get a ladder and head for the Regal then Pookie, anything would be better than the present state of that building.

Pookie i dont think does painting
as the only ladder she has had was in her tights, but i think her artistic skills could be of great use in the cleaning & painting of The Regal Building which if there was a collaboration
with Miss Candelabra & Rosemary Young could get their heads together & come up with a solution
to tidy up the eyesore. Why not get in touch with major paint manufacturers & ask would they be willing to donate some outdoor emulsion for the project & that it would be good publicity for the company, its a sad state of affairs when in conversation with some visitors who were attending
The Book & Arts Festival commented on how shabby the Town is now looking. How many more years have we to look at the eyesore?

Matt darling, I only ever wear stockings, not tights. Far too sweaty - especially when engaged in some vigorous activity - such as painting. I'll have you know I come from a very long line of painters & decorators. Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got - I'm still Pookie from the block - what a crock! So everyone, what kind of theme should the mural take, would you say? Dr. Lecter suggests 'Sodom & Gomorrah' - but then he would, wouldn't he?
