Trees vandalised close to Grantown Road and footpath to riverside

Three trees have been cut down sometime over the holiday period in the field that borders the Grantown Road and lies between the cemetery and the Auldearn Burn. In recent years a large number of trees, many of them cherries, were planted here and they have reached a sufficient height now to provide a magnificent display of blossom in the spring. The area has also been a spot where the Keep Nairnshire Colourful group have planted may thousands of spring flowering bulbs to complement the display offered by the trees. Sadly three trees will no longer be part of that display.
