Day2 of Nairn town centre charrette – drawings on the maps - pictures

The Charrette continues with 4 options/visions for the town centre generated by four working groups yesterday. The groups were made up of elected members, council officials, local residents, and community groups. The idea seemed to be to find out what each mindset would generate and then work on common ground extracted from the results.

Interesting drawings up in the Courthouse this morning, showing trees and widened pavements along the (post-bypass) former A96, trees on the High Street and the rearranged car parks. The Courthouse as a hub including the library, CAB and other functions with a contemporary glass extension for events etc. Other ideas too.

Some images of the drawings below. Images on a full screen slideshow here and individual images here.
