Giving cyclists sufficient space

A very worthwhile campaign. This poster just outside Rosebank School. Comments on facebook locally however about the banner being a bit high. Never mind a very serious point to be made. More information here.

sorry where can i make comments locally on facebook?

not only outside schools, but on any road for cyclists of any age this should apply,
on my daily commute i usually have 1 or 2 close calls on the back roads (because we have hardly any cycle paths or dedicated cycle routes out of nairn to anywhere!!!)

if you think about it, if you were to drive and to have at least 1 close call for an accident every time you drive, you'd be up in arms!

Drivers, when passing a cyclist pass as if it is your son, daughter, grandchild or other dearly loved person. If you think like this I am sure you will pass wide and slow. And cyclists, think of your own safety, think twice, stop at a safe place to let vehicles pass you. If we are all considerate to each other the roads will be a safer place for all users.
