Murd Dunbar has been concerned for some time that these dead elms on the corner of Cawdor Road and Balblair Road are ready to fall at any time and possibly cause an accident. He has mentioned this potential danger at a number of Community Council meetings now.
Last Wednesday night it emerged that both Highland Council and the Police have contacted Scotrail in an effort to have this hazard removed. One of our regular unreliable sources close to Community Council insiders informs the Gurn however that there may be a last minute twist in this long tale concerning ownership of this spot.
