PREPARING FOR THE BIG BOOM IN THE PEOPLE USING THE HIGH STREET AFTER THE NEW STREET SCAPE AT LEAST WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD BE BOOMING
@ Anon BIG BOOMAs you get older you tend to question whether you believe the words of politicians just like your faith in Santa may have been rocked some years agoIt's easy to make verbal promises but much harder to get the now cyclical population to believe them, and I for one didn't believe for a minute the prediction by a certain councillor that the streetscaping would make one jot of difference to the footfall in our High StreetNothing but hot air best forgotten, mind you, another election about to hit us so watch out for some more hollow promises
Did a councillor say that Bust not Boom, could you pin it down to any particular Nairnshire issue?
@GraisgYes a councillor did say that, and as far as I can remember it was on the back of £1M being spent on the streetscaping and also the money (whatever happened to it) for painting shop fronts
Wasn't there something about a projecting clock in Castle Lane as well?
I wonder what Mosh will chat to you about?
Dont worry Mosh will chat to Olive Oil & Superman & will have plenty to talk about with these two, plus the friends who will drop in on a regular basis & I hope that includes you " all ears" as the saying goes Its good to talk,
I am all for lots more lovely coffee shops. Just the place for all the goss and political chit chat.
I trust Mosh's will have a Mosh pit?
What a lovely cafe filling stationwould make for the Co--op and with some where to park and watch the world go by or wait for a bus or would that also be a eyesore??
'Chat' (chaat) is also a Hindi word for snacks, so maybe some authentic Indian food coming Nairn's way?
