Why is the allotment society getting funding for a community garden when it is not open to all the community? There are signs up at the Sandown allotments saying access is for plot-holders only.

Budgets for community groups in Nairn like everywhere else have been slashed meaning that it's nigh impossible for such groups to get to Sandown even if they wanted to.

IF there is a need for community gardens why not offer something based in town such as Mill Road

Rather than get a private reply to an email maybe someone from the allotment group could put an answer or two here on the gurn?

This observer is a rank and file member of NAS and in the passing during visits to Sandown has often seen people in Plot 7 (the community groups area), who, what and why I dinae ken and am not really too interested :-)

Over £2.5K. What are they doing with it, hiring a gardener?
