Plenty County in the Courier today

Les is interviewed on the back page and they also have an extensive interview with Peter on Page 35. They talk to Peter about the cup tie tomorrow, the club in general and even about possible Scottish League reorganisation.
Peter is quoted: "More fans are coming back to the games now," he said. "There is also a very high quality on display, shown by the results in the Scottish Cup.
"The Highland League is probably the most competitive league in Scotland and is very exciting. It possibly needs more exposure from the national press and national television." More in todays Inverness Courier.

Saturday 10th November, Nairn County v Forfar Athletic, Station Park, kick-off 3.00 p.m.

Peter Mackintosh is quite right about the poor coverage of the Highland League in the national press. I am certain there are many teams in the Highland League could more than hold their own in the third division and push on to the second. Years ago the Sunday Mail and the Sunday post gave individual match reports with teams and scorers. Sunday Mail is now one featured match and a composite report on the rest while the Post gives the briefest of details on each match. Now its cost cutting all the way and they use every means possible to pay lip service to a league which is highly competitve and a fantastic product. Wish Nairn well Saturday and hope they get the crowd they deserve.

A shame you have to wait nearly a week after the match to read about local clubs in most of the weekly local press. The likes of the Gurn and social media provide far better cover and usually on match day as well, not to mention all the photos the Gurn puts up

Don't forget Highland League.net for match day coverage of probably the best competitive soccer product in Scotland just now.
Also the supporters who tweet live reports from the games.
