Hurricane Bertha's effect on Nairn captured in a picture going viral out there.

See Inveroutlanders twitter post for more as a giant sinkhole emerges on the pig farm.

Meanwhile NHS Highland report:
"Due to the severe weather over the past 24 hours, there has been some water damage to the ceiling of the south side of Nairn Town and County Hospital.

NHS Highland would like to confirm that services will still be running from the site and advise any patients that have an appointment at the GP surgery to use the entrance at the Accident and Emergency unit at the Hospital.

NHS Highland would like to thank patients for their co-operation during this time and apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Here's a short clip of the burn at Lethen posted on flickr by Lisa
And a clip of the river at the Merryton Bridge by Stephen Smerdon here.

And here's the River Nairn meeting the sea on the East Beach earlier today, the sea was increasingly looking a bit brown as the river gained the upper hand.
