Films tonight - Cinema Nairn making it more like the movies for you

Jason told the Gurn:
'Just a reminder that anyone 'searching' for something to do tomorrow night (Friday) should saddle up and hoof on over to the Community Centre for the next Cinema Nairn screening, the 1956 John Wayne/John Ford classic The Searchers.
We're showing it in widescreen format. Cor!

Bar opens at 7 with the films starting at 7.30. I say films as we are opening with a superb short film called Gone Fishing starring Bill Paterson.

The Searchers is OK for a Sunday afternoon, but something a bit spicier for a Fri nite, no? Or is it just me that likes a bit of sex, drugs & violence to kick off the weekend with? Sam Peckinpah? Trainspotting, Reservoir Dogs or something, I dunno... Probably. Boo Hoo

I have just watched 'Riff Raff' for about the umpteenth time - Ken Loach. What a film & very pertinent today in our dog eat dog world. I would really love to see that screened here in Nairn - I would even wear a bikini - I mean 'Tankini', but I am sure that wouldn't be necessary. It's such a good film. Get it on, baby! You don't want to make me mad now, do you? XX
