Riverside Clean-up

Murray MacRae sent in this picture taken this afternoon of volunteers cleaning up rubbish from the riverside. Here they are working on the Khyber back path up to Broadhill. Murray wishes to express his appreciation for the work of these volunteers and here at the Gurn we are very happy to second the motion. Well done!

Well done indeed, It would be better done in March though when all the litter can be seen easily. This would also avoid disturbing nesting ducks and birds.

Is it not hellish that those kind soles have to tidy up some others
persons mess who have no respect for the appearance of The Riverside

I pass this route every day for a wee walk & its sickening to see the amount of litter discarded by people who dont seem to give a dam.

Hellish indeed...
There is a place reserved in hell for anyone who dares to casts asunder an empty packet of cheese & onion crisps. Definately.
Especially on a Sunday.
And as for used condoms....well...
