Saipem 7000 (world's second largest crane vessel) off Nairn

Just how large this vessel looms just off of Nairn can be seen here. Thanks again to Rob for the information posted earlier on the Gurn. There's information about the Saipem 7000 on Wikipedia.

so no truth in the rumour that Highland Council has hired this crane in order to remove services from certain towns then?

There is a rumour going round the good town of Nairn that the large crane is berthed in The Moray Firth on standby, as its the only thing that will manage to lift the Gurns wallet!!!
