BMX track could get £15,000 revamp

The riverside BMX track, which is at present the site of on-going tree-felling operations could soon be given a new lease of life worth £15,000. Volunteer Highland have suceeded in principle in getting the backing of the River Community Council. At this week's meeting the local watchdogs were very favourable towards the proposal but said they would consult nearby residents over the inclusion of winter lighting in the plan. There was a general feeling that such lighting would be inappropriate give the controversy that erupted over the nearby skateboard park when lighting was installed.
More news from the River Community Council meeting tomorrow (15/01)
