Credit where credit is due

The Gurnmeister remembers sitting on the public benches at a Nairn River Community Council meeting last year and witnessing the Nairn Concerned Residents Association lay into the local watchdog over the flats getting built on Maggot Rd. Now the Community Council's posistion was of the effect that they were not mind readers and as they received no objections to the flats then they came to the reasonable conclusion that there must have been no opposition to the development. It was a fairly sensible position to take but the Concerned residents were well up for a rammy with the Com C. Now, if the Concerned Residents are still looking for someone to blame why not go for the organisation that is proud enough to have its name at the top of the information board - The Scottish Government? Their name is on it, fair enough for them to take the blame as well?

There will be 25 homes for rent under the control of the Albyn Housing Society and they will be ready for occupation in May 2010. Not quite in time for the Jordon House residents that will have to be out of their accommodation with Albyn by the end of February 2010.

Maybe a few laid off builders could be employed on the flats to bring the completion date forward to help Jordan House folk?
